The Endless Possibilities

I recently finished a drawing of my own. I created it shortly after finishing a coffee, last week, early in the morning. It's not much, barely a few lines, really, but at least it's recognizable.
When I did draw regularly, it was usually a portrait. The goal was for someone to be able to look at it and instantly recognize the person that I was drawing a picture of. The worst reaction would be: " That's nice. Who is it supposed to be? "
The picture in question was scanned, run through a Photoshop program, the lines hardened a little, the blue ink converted to black, and voila!
I stared at the darn thing, over and over. I couldn't believe it. Nothing drawn in years, and here was something that I had whipped up in less than three minutes!
I had been thinking about starting a second SJ site, but with only rather vague ideas about the theme. Not any more.
Here is how it will be set up: Ideally, the page will be customized, as soon as I have a firmer grasp of HTML. The artwork will be almost entirely in black and white, with perhaps the odd splash of colour. The sketches will be based on photographs taken by a digital camera, or screen-shots of short videos, if this is more convenient. The updates will not be very frequent, at least at first, due to perfectionist tendencies ( " If I wanted stick-figures, I'd ask a five-year-old to draw this! Bah! " Crumple, crumple... toss! )
I will either create as much material I can, ahead of time, before HTML is mastered, or, just go ahead, post the stuff, and customize the page later. Ah, who am I kidding? Perfectionism and impatience go hand in hand.
Until then, more frivolity and foolishness from Uncle Fester and that other guy.
'keep ya posted.

Flashy

Well, I seem to able to use flash files, but only for the comics. I'd love to be able animate my avatar in some fashion, but danged if I can figure out how. Once I figure out how to use flash files in other ways, I will undertake, ONCE more, to learn some HTML.
And then, it will be time to start another site, and apply what I learned. I'd love to tackle an on-going story of some kind, and with art-work of my own.

Natterlings, far and wide.

What the heck, it's a start.
I've put HTML to one side, and opted for a different design from the list provided
for free. It seems to work better for most of the art-work, but I wonder if the
pattern isn't a little too hard on one's eyes, after a while.
My latest project is figuring out how to upload a few simple flash files, and I
haven't uncovered many clues in the forums on how one actually does so.
I've tried simply selecting them from the browser in the SJ control panel, but
to no avail. I was hoping for an error message, at least, but all it does is blink.
No clues.
Oh, well. Back at 'er!

Okay, THAT was depressing. Don't worry folks, ( esp. Saskatoon Betty ), I'm not suicidal, or anything.
Just... sad.
Ahem.
Anyway, we now appear to have a few more fans, and
I admit it's mighty gratifying. As for the promised
update on the sites appearance, it looks like I'm going to have to learn HTML after all. For those of you who
are also curious about it, there are numerous sources, all over the Almighty Internet, that can help you out.
And it's all FREE! FREE! FREE!
Bwah ha ha... Hah!
Have a stress-free day!

Honestly, I just couldn't think of anything " Christmassy ", and so I may have to bank a few
illustrations for the various seasons, and peel 'em off as the need arises.
To tell the truth, this Christmas was rather difficult: I am well into my forties now, but I never
missed a single Christmas with my parents. I was frequently able to spend the night before at their place
and would sometimes wake up a little early just to turn on the Christmas-tree lights, in the darkness, and try
to remember what it felt like to be little again.
This Christmas was the first one without any parents.
They are both gone now.

Well, by By Gadfry, and all that is Holy, it would appear
that We have acquired TWO more fans.
If either of you two, poor misguided souls care to comment upon Our pages, please do so.
We too, in time, shall do so, on your pages, as well.

In the days that follow this post I ask our loyal sub-
scribers ( yes, all three of you! ), or anyone else who
happens to read these things whilst perusing the
illustrations, to be patient with us.
We intend to customize the general appearance of this
page, and may have to attempt this in chunks. As such,
the presentation may seem a little odd, from time to
time but, bear with us, for we have great hopes for the
result.[color=green]
